iPad Airplay Apps

iPad is the best media device out there for media consumption. The new iOS update – iPad 4.3 brings the ability to stream video from apps to the Apple TV by using a technology called Airplay. Many apps are already taking advantage of this exclusive feature and here is the list (and description) of compatible apps.


Apps that do not take advantage of this technology can be forced to posses Airplay feature. See how to enable airplay in all apps.

Discovery Channel HD – This is a free iPad app that features clips of channel’s shows. There are myriad clips to keep you busy throughout the day. [link]

Vevo – Vevo’s popular music video service app is now available for the iPad and supports Airplay. It is free.  [vevo download]

MLS MatchDay – This app allows you to stream all major soccer leagues, if you pay a one time fee of 40 dollars. There is also a free version which is limited to just highlights and scores of previous games.  [mls matchday]

Espn app: Espn Magazine app can also stream videos to your HDTV. It is free to download but each extra issue costs 10 dollars that can be bought as an in-app purchase. [espn download]


Authentic Yoga – This app offers Yoga tips and tutorials. Costs 2 dollars.  [Authentic Yoga]

My Daily Clip – This app fetches movie information and offers movie trivia as-well-as links to full movie from iTunes. It is free to download. [mydailyclip]

Air Video – This app lets a user air stream any video stored on the iPad. Great for those who wanted this functionality but did not want to jailbreak their iPad. [airvideo download]

Cookies app – Martha Stewart’s Cookies app is also compatible with the Airplay. This, however, is not free and costs 5 dollars. [martha stewart app]
