In addition to a new-generation iPhone, Apple is expected to update its iPads once again. As AppleInsider reported the Cupertino giant has already given contracts to its suppliers to supply touch ID and Apple A8 chips for its upcoming iPad. So just like the supposed iPhone 6, the iPad 6 will also come with an A8 64-bit processor and the fingerprint scanner Touch ID.
The information provided by the analysts is obvious since we all expected Apple to equip iPad Air with touch ID but that did not happen due to its shortage and manufactures unable to make enough of them.
The new A8 processor is expected to be again noticeably more powerful than the A7 chip that made its debut previous year. Other minor changes will be use of 8-megapixel main camera in the revised iPad Air. In terms of design and dimensions, do not expect any change. The official launch of the new iPads, according to the analysts is by end of the third quarter.
Apple wants to do a slightly early launch to boost the demand for iPads again.
