How to edit your photos with Movavi Photo Studio

It is almost tragic to see that even in 2016, Windows does not come with a decent built in photo editing software and while there are myriad nice photo editors available for download on the Internet, not all are easy to use and user friendly. In fact, when one thinks of photo editing software, one thinks of something only computer geeks can use.

That said, not every single photo editing software is so difficult to use and one of them is Movavi photo editor. In fact, the application is so easy to use, you will feel like a pro after spending few minutes with it and the best part is that it is available for both Mac and Windows operating systems. It offers one click image quality enhancing feature called Magic Enhance that lets you improve the quality of the image with just single click.

Other useful effects include brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, temperature, tint, exposure, gamma, highlights, shadows, blue and sharpness. Moving the slider to the left decreases the effect while moving it to the right increases it. If you do not like a particular effect, you can simply undo it or go straight to the original picture without any effect by using “revert to original” button.

All of these effects are applied in real time so whatever you are seeing on the screen is how your image is going to look like. You can also add text, captions and watermark to your images which is useful if you are going to share it with your friends and family.

Other salient features of this app include crop, flip, rotate and ability to straighten images for that pleasing composition. Another very useful feature is ability to compress photos. If you are running out of storage due to sheer amount of pictures on your computer, you can compress them using Movavi photo editor and free up space which can be used for other useful stuff.

My favourite feature is “background replacement”. In this, you select the area of the picture you want to work with using a green marker and then select the background with red marker. The app will trace your subject automatically and then you can easily remove the background and swap it with different one of your choice.

Another very interesting and something related to background replacement is object removal which lets you remove the object instead. This can be useful if you want to remove an object, say an unknown person from your personal photo.
