According to FBR Capital Market analyst Craig Berger, we may be getting a slightly improved iPad 2 Plus instead of iPad 3. The iPad 2 Plus will have same specs as rumored for the iPad 3, i.e, super high resolution retina display, meaning the pixel density will be bumped from 132 ppi to 250-300 ppi in the upcoming iPad.
iPad 2 is still a fairly new product and many are still waiting to get their hands on one. It will also annoy a lot of current iPad 2 users as iPad is not actually designed to get the current consumers to upgrade.
There is no news if iPad 2 Plus will sport Apple A6 processor. It might be that Apple has reserved that CPU for iPad 3.
